Blisters

Today I headed off to the city with a couple of my friends: Tash, Laura, Sarah and Liesl. We did a pretty good job Photoplus-ing.

There really isn't much to say about today. Well, I got some blisters on the heels of my feet. Also, there was a drunk guy on the train but that's nothing new.

Hopefully when we get the computer up and running again (I am currently using the laptop) and the printer/scanner connected to it, I can scan our sticker photos. Or Tash can do them when she gets back to Canberra if it isn't done yet.

Oh what a boring and poorly structured post. Sorry.

Look on the bright side!

Oh I feel so bad. I deleted everything off my iPod, which is basically all my picture and music files. While trying to retrieve these lost files, I stuffed up the computer. That made me feel so much worse, because it not only affected me but everyone else. Oh well.. I'll just start over and move on.

On the bright side, Tash is here from Canberra! She came on Sunday (the same day the above happened).

On Monday it was scorching hot; 41 degrees! Rianna came over and we watched Monster in Law (Jennifer Lopez) and Guess Who (Ashton Kutcher, Bernie Mac), two rom-coms about in-laws. We lazed around and drank watermelon smoothies made with mine and my brother's brand new blender!

Today the three of us watched The Princess and the Frog at the movies. It is such a cute movie! I love Disney.

To Ate Julie: This was a really pretty hat from Portmans, but I didn't buy it..

By the way, I would like to thank ate Julie for reminding me to post! Without her this blogging thing wouldn't last..

Home sweet home

I got back to Melbourne yesterday by car. The trip went by pretty fast as we didn't make many stops, so that was good.
Today I have been clearing off and rearranging stuff on my desks and bookshelf to make it look prettier. I also have some pretty-looking, empty picture frames that are in need of pictures. I've been looking for a nice picture of me and my little sister from when she was even younger (she's 7 now), but as I look through all of my old photos from when I was 12 and 13, my face reddens with embarrassment. You know the type, the girls who pout and take photos of themselves whilst doing a peace sign. Oh yes, I was a teenybopper and boy do I regret it.

Here are some of the "less embarrassing" ones, so you get an idea:

A lot of them are mirror photos like this.

The typical asian pose

Myspace photos...ugh

I wish my hair looked that black in real life.

These are nothing compared to the other stuff I've found. The others are way too embarrassing to post!
Anyway, it's good to be home. I've began my exercising again in the hopes of losing my Christmas fat.
I really should continue with the process of cleaning/rearranging my room. But once I sign off, chances are I won't.

Questions and Laser Tag

This has nothing to do with this post but this really amuses me. Yo Gabba Gabba!

Gabbie, my young nine-year-old cousin is annoyingly curious. Basically everything that comes out of her mouth is a question. I noticed this one day when she continually annoyed ate Julie with question after question.

We were out shopping yesterday and while we were in JB Hi-Fi this conversation happened:
*Gabbie looks into Julie's shopping bag.
Gabbie: Where did you go?
Julie: Diva.
Gabbie: Did you buy anything?
Julie: Yes.
Gabbie: What did you buy?
Julie: Earrings.
Gabbie: Were they the owl ones?
Julie: Yes.
Gabbie: Are they better than the other ones?
Julie: Yes.
Gabbie: Can I see them?
Julie: No.
*Gabbie notices Julie writing on her hand.
Gabbie: What's that?
Julie: A pen.
Gabbie: Where did you get it from?
Julie: My bag.
Gabbie: Why did you bring it?
Julie: 'Cos I can can.
*Julie takes out water bottle from bag
Gabbie: Did you bring water?
Julie: Yes.
Gabbie: Can I have some?
Julie: No.
Dannica: Gabbie, you ask a lot of questions.
Gabbie: Really?
Julie: *Glass Shattering*
For those of you who don't know, this "glass shattering" is the sudden realisation of a bad habit, which then leads on to noticing this habit every time it happens. This was something we learnt from How I Met Your Mother.
So from there we all began to notice it more. Every time she would ask a question we would laugh, so we decided to see how long she could last without asking a question. She didn't even last a minute the first time round. After this we would start timing again after each time she stuffed up (which was usually at every 2-4 minutes). There was a specific time when we started timing at the bottom of the escalator, and once we got to the top she immediately asked "Where are we going?". FAIL.

Today my brother, my three cousins, my uncle and I went to laser tag. It was my first time so I was expecting myself to be crap, but I actually did pretty good! The first game we played solo; I came 3rd. The second time round we played teams: us against some randoms and we won! I was 5th this time but hey, still good.
Tomorrow, my brother and I will be heading home to Melbourne. Oh we will miss the mahjong sessions!
Goodbye Sydney!

The number

Whilst reading funny MLIA's with my cousin ate Julie, I discovered that I had written in my notes on my phone the number 249 on the 31st of December. I actually remember putting these numbers in my phone, but don't remember the reason behind this. We were out in the city that day, so ate Julie and I have been trying to think back to the day and see if it sparked up any memories. Still, nothing. It is really killing us!!
Anyway, I have a pretty cool idea with what to blog about now, though I will probably start posting about it when I get back home to Melbourne. Stay tuned to find out!

EDIT 12/01: My birthday is the 249th day of the year! Mystery solved!

My blog looks... boring

My brother, two cousins and I playing with sparklers for the new year. I'm the 2 and the second 0.

You could say that keeping up this brand spanking new blog is my new years resolution. Thing is, we all know that new years resolutions never really last. There is a large chance of me blogging for a month or two then just not being bothered to post anymore. Let's just hope this one lasts a while.
I'll be going home from Sydney to Melbourne in a few days time. I spent Christmas and New Years here, which is a lot more fun than in Melbourne as basically all of my mum's side live here in Sydney. It will be back to quiet for a day, until we have relatives from Canberra staying for a week on Thursday (I think?) and my friend Tash from Canberra as well staying with us for a week from Sunday. It will be fun, though I don't know when I'll get a chance to do all of my holiday homework!
I've noticed that my blog looks quite (or very) boring with its default white template. Sure its titled The Boring Blogger, but I don't want my blog to be that boring. Its only titled this way because I believe my posts would be pretty boring for people to read.
Help me out here! Any good websites?

Happy New Year!

Its 2010! It's a new year, new decade and yet another new blog. This blog attempt would probably be attempt number five. Let's hope I can stick with this one.
My name is Dannica and I am not-so-sweet-sixteen. If procrastination were a sport, I would win a silver medal. First goes to my cousin Julie ;)
Seeing as though I'm new to this blogging thing, I am certain that I will have little or no readers for the time being. Oh well, slow and steady!
Okay, now I'm stuck. I'm not all to interesting really, so I have no idea on what to write about. This would be one reason why it's so hard for me to keep up a blog.
I would keep sitting here, trying to think of ideas but I have to be off. I am currently in Sydney and am quite busy in terms of catching up with relatives and such.
Ta ta for now!
